ABOUT US

The Club is a dirt motorsport orientated club that has run khanacross Rally Sprints and Rallies since 1954. After a small hiatus in the late 1990's, the car club was re-established by die hard rally enthusiasts to "get the club going again" starting with mostly Khanacross to get members back to having fun and running within the northern NSW motorsport series.

This helped the club get back on its feet. In 2005 with the assistance of the Pacific Rally Club, the club created the "Bago Rally" under the Event Direction of Peter Leicht it was a Multi-club level event running 95 klms competitive. In the years following "Bago" grew.

Under the event direction of Scott Keys with Assistance of Les and Cynthia Smith, the event grew from a 100klm event up to a 180klm competitive event. Bago has had varying formula from just daylight rallies to day/ night rallies. Bago which started out as a multi-club level event, eventually moved up to a state level events. With the success of the Bago rallies grew the Bago rally sprints, These were mostly run along the old pacific hwy to the south east of Wauchope having up to 40 competitors at a event, normally running 6mths away from the rally dates.

The Club has run events under the assistance of AMSAG and also having had an affiliation with Motorsport Australia (formally CAMS).
